The different parts of the toothbrush can be disassembled for proper disposal.
The Bamboo handle is 100% biodegradable & may be composted after use.
The bristles however are not biodegradable & must be removed before disposal with pliers.
We've discovered most if not all toothbrush bristles to be very small and lightweight resulting in curbside recycling possibly not working. Example, if one were to simply throw the bristles into a big curbside recycling bin, they can easily get lost and will not make it through the recycling process.
The bristles will have to be landfilled. In total, this will result in less than 0.01 ounces of plastic waste (a drastic improvement from regular plastic toothbrushes).
